Our hospital

Maternal mortality refers to deaths due to complications from pregnancy or childbirth. According to UN inter-agency estimates, Maternal mortality declined by 38 percent between 2000 and 2017. Maternal mortality in the past years decreased in Africa because of some medical intervention by medical experts globally.

Maternal mortality is one of the major problems faced in our system. Children have lost mothers and mothers have lost children due to the huge medical Dilemma. It can be caused by many factors such as

  • Ruptured uterus
  • Sepsis (infections after childbirth)
  • Complications of unsafe abortions
  • Prolonged Obstructed Labor
  • High blood pressure during pregnancy (pre-eclampsia and eclampsia)
  • severe bleeding (mostly bleeding after childbirth)
  • complications from delivery

Through the intervention and medical awareness by the WHO, UN, and other agencies, this problem has declined by 38 percent. Researches have shown that most of these problems can be controlled by the availability of quality equipment, facilities, and qualified experts in the country. Reduction in maternal mortality can be managed by taking up different measures and providing medical responses to the depleting the life of mother and child or putting them at risk.
